New Mexico: The Land of Enchantment

About a month ago, I embarked on my first road trip ever with one of my close friends from college. Considering we both weren’t big fans of sitting in the car, this was a pretty ambitious trip, but it exceeded our expectations. We set off from Dallas in my two-door Honda Civic, which was packed to the brim, to Carlsbad, NM. Throughout our trip, we stayed in 3 different Airbnb’s and visited 4 different cities over the span of 5 days. Here is a visual record of our trip!

Santa Fe, NM:

Carlsbad Caverns:

El Pinto:

Saint Francis Cathedral:

You must also visit the Loretto Chapel and the famous spiral staircase inside!

Kakawa Chocolate House:

There chocolate elixirs are to-die-for and the horchata is amazing as well.

One of the many road side views we pulled over for:

Street side shop in Santa Fe, NM:

Valles Caldera:

HANDS DOWN: one of the most magical places I’ve been to.

White Sands National Park:

We stayed in Alamogordo, NM, which is a 20 minute drive from the park. Make sure when going through the park, you keep track of where you parked your car. It’s really easy to get lost!

If you live in Texas, you must visit New Mexico. This trip was unlike any other I had been on and was full of wonderful sights.
